Mortal Kombat 3 * Jun. 12th, 2010 at 6:12 PM

If any of you know of Kevin Tancharoen, you know him as the director of "Fame."

Now, If you heard the news, you've heard that he's going to direct the new Mortal Kombat reboot.

So 1 or 2 things are going threw you're head right now."WHAT THE...?! Another MK movie?!" Now before you get you hopes up, he's taken out the "im so high everything is magical" aspect of MK or "Seriously? the guy who directed Fame is going to direct MK?! This can't be good."

Now hear me out on this magic thing. Yeah, it's made made the movies so cool with the whole aspect of a fantasy world and all, but that era of movies is more for the kids films now [which keep in mind i watch most of the kids movies too haha]. Today i hear people saying they want something gritty and realistic; something that's possible.

Tancharoen has given it to us in such a great way.

Now when he went to go pitch this idea he's been wanting to do to Warner Brothers, they shot him down cause they had no faith in his ability to do this, cause well... he did Fame. SO, he spends 10K of his own out of pocket money to shoot his trailer for it.

Oh my baby-raping Jesus, is it spectacular. Now before I go on, here is the epic trailer:


Now this isnt a real trailer as much as a 8 minutes teaser of what will be done for the movie.

Now if you have watched this, you've noticed the people. Correct? These people agree to shoot in the trailer probono [free] under the stipulation they get to play the character if the film made it.

Ok,  people I noticed was Michael Jai White as Jacks and Jeri Ryan as Sonya Blade.

Now Michael is an great actor who played in Black Diamond and voiced Bushido Brown in the Boondocks, but, I almost nutted at seeing Jeri Ryan because she played one of my absolute fav characters of Star Trek Voyager, Seven of Nine.

I was so giddy seeing her there, you have no idea. Not only cause she's Seven of fucking Nine but because no one gives this woman a chance for anything too awesome. She plays Sonya so well that I couldn't stop bouncing in my seat seeing here there.

I dunno who is playing Barraka but he looks BAD... in the greatest way possible.

OH and Johnny Cage still sucks :P hehehehe

I'm not 100% on this so I'll say it's rumor that WB rethought the situation and is going to do this after all

With everything that has happened over the years, I am surprised that i was able to hold on to what sanity I had to begin with.

Being rejected by both ends of the social spectrum tends to make you ask why you exist in the first place.
